Health Management Moves Up on FORTUNE 500 List

Once again, Health Management Associates is included in the FORTUNE 500, FORTUNE magazine’s annual ranking of the largest corporations in the U.S. In the 2011 fiscal year, Health Management ranked 423 on the list (up from 435 in 2010), and ranked sixth in the Health Care: Medical Facilities category.

Our inclusion on the list is a tribute to the hard work of our Associates, clinicians and volunteers. “We all know that our industry faces a challenging environment, which makes this year’s FORTUNE 500 ranking particularly gratifying,” said Gary Newsome, President and CEO of Health Management. “It is the financial strength of our company that affords us the opportunity to invest in local health care services, recruit top talent and provide a stable workplace for our Associates.”
